We had some new folks in the store the other day and we were talking about emergency preparedness. They
are lovely people and have a deep faith in Jesus Christ. They were asking all of the usual questions of what and how to prepare. We could see their eyes getting that overwhelmed look so we told them to take a deep breath and we would help them understand. We spent the next hour or so talking about their family, friends and neighbors. Then they asked, “Where do we go from here?”
We think that all of us should ask ourselves daily, where do we go from here? We must continue to prepare Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically. We must keep this ever present on our minds. So many have gone back to sleep and have let very minor endeavors take over their attention.
We encourage you to do something every day to keep your preparations on track. Think of everything that you use on a daily basis and make sure you have adequate supplies. Things like soaps, trash bags, batteries and on and on. Read the scriptures and ponder your relationship with God. Keep Him ever constant in your mind and heart.
Always ask yourself... What If?
We must prepare our minds, hearts and as our physical surroundings for the inevitable. If we don't we may end up with (as the scriptures state in Luke 21:26) our "hearts failing... for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”
We must teach these same things to our families! The more they are prepared, the better they will be able to face the upcoming events that are surely to happen.
